General Rules & Regulations on Advertising
The following Rules & Regulations apply to the use of all advertisement spaces provided on this site:
- Advertisements are welcomed on www.devonbuy.com and have to be applied judiciously. Depending on the length on the article of choice, there is a limit to the number of advertisements that can appear inline within an article, or that can be added to the sidebar. This is also important so that the advertisements by other advertisers do not dilute the impact and effectiveness of your advertisements.
- A maximum number of ads is specified for each advertisement space or category in the site layout above. The quantity and layout distribution of ads appearing shall be as established in the next section and at the discretion of the site owner.
- A maximum dimension is specified for each advertisement space as given in the third column in the Table of Rates above. For the designated rented space, advertisements submitted may be smaller than these dimensions, but shall not exceed the dimensions given.
- For larger advertisements, up to three adjacent ad spaces within the same section in the sidebar may be rented. This is valid for Ad Type C only. A site-wide discount is applicable for this at the following rates: 10% off the total price for two adjacent ad spaces, and 20% off the total price for three adjacent ad spaces. For example:
- To occupy ad spaces C1 and C2 for advertisement of 300 x 500 pixels,
the price after 10% discount is 0.9 x ($50.00 + $40.00) = $81.00 per month. - To occupy ad spaces C1, C2 and C3 for an advertisement of 300 x 750 pixels,
the price after 20% discount is 0.8 x ($50.00 + $40.00 + $40.00) = $104.00 per month. - To occupy ad spaces C3 and C4 for an advertisement of 320 x 600 pixels,
the price after 10% discount is 0.9 x ($42.00 + $42.00) = $75.60 per month. - Rental of multiple ad spaces within Ad Refs C5, C6, C7 and C8 shall be calculated similarly as above.
- For extended duration multiple adjacent space rental, the following discounts apply after multiplication monthly rate by number of months: 10% for 3 months, 15% for 6 months, and 20% for 12 months.
- To occupy ad spaces C1 and C2 for advertisement of 300 x 500 pixels,
- Short term advertising of 7 days and under is available at a daily rate $2.00, OR 5% of the monthly rate given in the Table of Rates above, whichever is higher. For example:
- a 5-day advertisement placement at Ad Ref C1 would be 5% x $50.00 x 5 days = $12.50.
- a 3-day advertisement placement at Ad Ref C5 would be $2.00 x 3 days = $6.00, because 5% x $30.00 = $1.50 (i.e. less than $2.00)
- Any period exceeding 7 days but less than one month shall constitute the full one month advertising rate as given in the Table of Rates above.
- Advertisements of certain nature and contents are prohibited on this site. These include, without limitations, advertisements that imply and/or lead to sites and businesses related to pornography, hate, racism, violence or otherwise illegal in nature and content. The list of such sites and businesses is not exhaustive, and shall be evaluated on a case-by-case basis upon submission or prior request.
